I am Tochi Okafor – a wellness coach, educator, and advocate for nutrient-dense foods.
My nutrition journey deepened when I formally studied the subject and, for the first time, understood in clear and practical terms how food choices directly impact weight, energy, and long-term health.
Determined to put my knowledge into practice, I made a deliberate shift to eat more whole, unprocessed foods. That decision became my turning point. I lost overall weight, including stubborn belly fat, and more importantly, I have sustained these results over the years. This transformation unlocked a deep commitment in me to nutrition education.
I realised that food is not just about filling the stomach – it is medicine, prevention, and fuel for living fully. I also recognised a gap: many Nigerians were overlooking locally grown, nutrient-dense foods in favour of imported or processed alternatives. That realisation fuelled my passion to educate, coach, and advocate for foods that are both accessible and healing.
Taking this passion further, I started an online food store that provides nutrient-dense, locally grown options such as Acha (Fonio) grain, Tigernut milk powder, Dates powder, and more.
My goal is to make healthier eating not only possible but also accessible for everyone. Through my work, I bring together two powerful pillars: good nutrition and intentional movement.
I emphasize that good nutrition provides the foundation while intentional movement strengthens it, and together they support lasting physical wellness. My approach is practical, encouraging, and rooted in lived experience, which makes my message resonate with individuals and organisations alike.
Today, I champion the cause of better health- guiding Nigerians to eat well, move with intention, and embrace habits that prevent disease while fostering vitality throughout life.
I have worked with over 70 women and with organisations such as FSDH and Fosad Consulting to help them achieve their health and fitness goals through personalised nutrition coaching and exercise accountability programs.
In addition, I am a wellness writer for the Vanguard Newspaper, where I share insights on food, movement, and wellbeing with a wider audience.
